Like Christmas, New Year is a time of year which typically sees a host of party invitations as friends and family gather together to celebrate the start of a whole new twelve-month chapter in their lives.  While some like to leave all the fuss and catering to others and escape to a fabulous, glitzy function at a hotel, club or restaurant others prefer the intimacy of getting together with their loved ones at home.  With many cities putting on some amazing fireworks displays, sometimes New Year can even mean being outside in the chill of winter.  Wherever you decide to spend the midnight hour on the 31st December though, a sumptuous hand painted silk scarf or a hand dyed shawl will see you properly prepared and perfectly attired, even if there is a spontaneous change of plan.

Being one of those times of year when we ladies really do like to look at our stunning best but when the temperatures might well be significantly below freezing point, New Year can present somewhat of a dilemma in terms of what to wear.  Without the luxury of a chauffeur-driven limo to take us from door to door, the chances are that we are going to be exposed to the elements for a few minutes at least, and even during this short time we still need to make sure that we do not freeze to death and yet still look fabulous.  A bulky coat and woolen scarf over the top of an elegant evening gown does not exactly set the tone, but a stunning and yet cozy hand dyed silk shawl is the perfect accompaniment when you just need to nip to and from the car.

With their vibrant colors and totally unique designs created by talented artists, hand dyed shawls made from 100% pure silk are the ultimate in style, luxury and sophistication.  Wherever you go, you will never have to face the embarrassment of bumping into someone who is wearing the same design and the sheer quality of these accessories makes them suitable for the highest class events at the most exclusive locations.  Unlike the mass-produced accessories which can be purchased in department stores all around the country, hand painted silk scarves and shawls use a whole range of often quite unusual colors and shades, and so matching them perfectly to your chosen outfit is never a problem.

Just because you choose to spend your New Year celebrating under the stars rather than in some fancy hotel, club or restaurant though, does not mean that you cannot indulge yourself in the same luxurious experience.  If you are out in the cold watching one of those glorious firework spectacles, then one of these amazingly warm accessories will ensure that you are concentrating on the light show and not the winter chill.  Tie a flamboyant women’s silk scarf around your neck and head Grace Kelly style and you will not only stay warm and cozy but you will start the year with style and sophistication.
